The GEICO Federal Credit Union was handling their marketing and design needs through contracting with an outside firm. GEICO leadership determined that this work could be handled in-house by the GEICO Corporate Communications team. When GEICO brought the marketing and design needs of the GEICO Federal Credit Union in-house, it marked a significant brand transition. I led the development of a new visual identity, including the creation of a new logo and comprehensive branding system for the Credit Union.
The logo design process required balancing two key objectives: establishing a distinct identity for the Credit Union while maintaining alignment with GEICO’s established brand standards. The process for developing the new branding required approval from many different leadership groups at GEICO, each with their own perspective. I collaborated with each stakeholder, and facilitated the review and approval process. The final brand system delivered a cohesive, professional look that elevated the Credit Union’s presence and reinforced trust and credibility.
Following the brand launch, I collaborated closely with the Marketing Coordinator to develop messaging strategies for monthly campaigns. I designed promotional materials including loan campaign flyers, monthly newsletters, and web graphics to support digital outreach. Additionally, I created and managed the marketing calendar, strategically planning campaign themes and content to ensure consistent, goal-driven communication throughout the year.
